My Escape

In 2009, I was completely invested in the American dream. I worked relentlessly with little holiday, had a mortgage on a house, and hoped to find someone with whom to create a family. When the economy began to collapse, I began analyzing why I had this dream and realized it had been programed into me since birth. I didn’t want the American dream. I sold everything and traveled the world. After visiting over 40 countries, I settled in Spain, then Colombia, then Taiwan, and now Myanmar. My new dream is to never settle into a mold that defines happiness. I’m going to find it on my own.
